Tama Milestones
1950

Tama is founded
in Kibbutz Mishmar Ha’Emek, Israel.

1967

Tama acquires its first extruder and twisters
for the production of ropes and twine.

1970

Kibbutz Galed
joins Tama as a partner.

1973

The first two knitting machines
arrive at Tama and begin production of potato sacks.

1986

Tama makes the first Pallet Nets.

1987

Tama makes its first bale netwraps
and expands production capacity significantly.

1990

Tama establishes its first overseas sales and
marketing subsidiary – TamaNet USA.

1992

Tama patents its FlexNet® – a revolution in pallet netting for pallets that need to breathe.

1995

Tama UAT marketing company is established in the UK.
Tama (UK) Ltd production site is established in the UK.

1998

Tama launches Edge To Edge® technology –
complete crop protection which sets the quality bar at a whole new level.

1999

Novatex Italia joins the Tama Group.

2000

Tama CE marketing company is established in Germany.

2001

Tama and John Deere launch CoverEdge – a joint development of netwrap and baler,
allowing coverage 
of the net over the edge of the bale.

2003

Tama Scandinavia marketing company is established in Sweden.
Alon Tavor production site is established in Israel.

2005

Tama France marketing company is established.

2006

Tama UAT Ireland marketing company is established.

2007

Tama launches Bale+ technology and begins production of the
longest netwrap rolls the market has ever seen.

2008

Tama develops X-SPAN technology for pallet nets.
Tama Canada marketing company is established.

2009

Tama launches RMW – round module wraps for John Deere’s 7760 cotton picker.
Tama Polska marketing company is established.
Tama Hungary marketing company is established.
Epack production site is established in Hungary.

2010

Tama introduces NDicator – a visual marking system
for ultimate stretch of pallet nets.

2011

Tamapack production site is established in Poland.

2012

RMW™ production site is established in Alon Tavor, Israel.
Tama establishes TamaNet Mexico – a sales and marketing subsidiary.

2013

Tama and John Deere launch John Deere B-Wrap® –
a unique wrap with breathable material that provides
barn quality hay without the barn.

2014

Tama Brasil marketing company and RMW™ production site
are established in Brazil.
Ambraco marketing company joins the Tama group.

2017

Ambraco Inc. officially changes its name to Tama USA Inc.
EPACK Kft. officially changes its name to Tama Hungary Ltd.
Tama buys the Australian Agricultural division of Tapex
and forms up Tapex AGRI.
